The advances in foam densities and structures have led to its use in mattresses which are as comfortable and durable, or even more so, than traditional mattresses and box springs, but cost less.
There is a foam mattress to meet every budget; however, the cheaper foam mattresses will probably not hold up well under constant use. They are, however, great for use in infrequently used guest rooms, and may even have your guests raving after a night or two. Some less expensive foam mattresses are even designed to serve as chairs during the daytime and open out into beds at night. While the novelty is great, you should still aim for the best quality foam mattress you can find without breaking your budget.
